Crafted on rustic pine wood slices, I use paper napkins and a gel medium to transfer the Highland cow image onto the wood. They are then varnished first with interior varnish and then varnished a further two times both sides with Yacht varnish to ensure a protection.
Slight sparkly finish.
The bark is left on to add to their rustic countryside charm.
Each mat measures approximately 23cms across and 0.75 inches thick. They are not perfectly round of course due to the natural shape of the slices as they are cut and the wood can vary in it's tones although care is taken to ensure the closest match.
